I contacted Mel Carr Electric after doing a Google search. I have an old home and was having an issue with old wiring and ceiling fixtures. I am always wary of inviting strangers into my house, so getting a text ahead of the appointment with the name, photo, and short bio of the technician coming to my house was a very pleasant surprise. Ethan Brown was the technician who came to my house, and he was very polite, professional, friendly, and courteous. He explained exactly what he was going to do and kept me apprised during the entire appointment. He provided clear information regarding what needed to be done, including cost, and reduced the cost when he was able to finish the job sooner than expected. He walked me through everything he did and made suggestions for further improvements to consider down the road. I was very impressed and happy with the entire experience.

Called Mel Carr Electric to diagnose and repair a recurring, intermittent problem we've had for years with our service panel that caused flickering lights and appliance issues. Entire office staff and service techs that I dealt with were exceedingly professional and courteous from the start. Service panel replacement and other upgrade work was top notch, and performed on short notice. Jamie was highly communicative, addressed every question and request thoroughly, and was very flexible in helping us resolve our problem. Project estimate for the level of work and complexity was fair and came in under budget in the end.
I've owned my current home for roughly 47 years, have employed numerous contractors during that time, and a great many will never be invited back for additional work.
