all your electrical questions. We charge by the job, not by the hour. Our service team
is specially authorized to offer you the best possible value for the service you request.
Our electricians are able to tackle any other tasks on site that might come to mind once
we have arrived, at a lesser cost! A service we call multi-task, we are able to pass along
the savings of an extra service call on to you, the consumer.
Understanding Flat Rate
Mel Carr Electric Corp. introduced the concept of flat rate pricing to the Capital Region in the year 2000. The idea was simple: Pay by the Job, Not by the Hour! Most electrical contractors charge high hourly rates, plus materials; Mel Carr Electric Corp. is committed to offering high quality service at a fair and reasonable price.
Whether the project is large or small, flat rate pricing ensures that you will be charged the fairest amount possible for our services. Hourly rates make the customer pay for the electrician's time, even before they arrive at your door! When Mel Carr Electric Corp. gives a quote, that price is firm and will not change throughout the course of our visit.
Our technicians have been trained to asses the work to be completed, and give a fair and accurate price on the spot. Each job is priced in accordance with our National Standard Price Guide. If the price is acceptable to the customer, then in most instances, our technicians can begin work immediately! Our customers prefer this method, and it has allowed Mel Carr Electric Corp. to remain the best choice for all of your residential electrical contracting needs.
